CELT Faculty Fellows Seminar

The 2009-2010 CELT Faculty Fellows Seminar has begun!

CELT hosts a year long seminar that provides an opportunity for faculty to dialogue with their colleagues about their teaching practices, and hear presentations from invited speakers on topics of teaching and learning. This is a unique opportunity for faculty to reflect on teaching challenges and goals, and to develop innovative strategies for moving forward.

Marcelo Bianconi, Economics
Michelle Gaudette, Biology
Ariel Goldberg, Psychology
Soha Hassoun, Computer Science

Jonathan Kenny, Chemistry
Sung-Yoon Lee, Korean Studies, Fletcher
Matthew Panzer, Chemical and Biological Eng.
Peter Probst, Art and Art History
Norman Ramsey, Computer Science
Lisa Walters, Romance Languages

CELT Faculty Fellows Alumni stay in touch through twice annual luncheon meetings.

Comments from Previous Seminar Participants:

"The workshop is a highly effective tool for building and nurturing a community of teacher-scholars across the campus."

"I now continually think of the different types of students in my class and how there are different learning styles; creative, analytical and practical. I am more confident about trying new things."

The CELT Faculty Fellows Seminar is made possible in part by a grant from the Davis Educational Foundation established by Stanton and Elisabeth Davis after Mr. Davis's retirement as chairman of Shaw's Supermarkets, Inc.
